The driveway to the Gołębiewo cottage from Sopot is 4.8 km long and has a 110 m elevation gain. The average gradient is 2.5%. A very pleasant driveway through the forest. Together with the driveway through Mikołaja Reja Street from Sopot, they form the so-called Reja loop, which is a popular place for local cyclists. Very good surface and almost no car traffic.

In the years 1897-1906, a colony of cheap houses founded by the Abegga foundation was established in Strzyża Dolna. The following streets were marked out at that time (side from the current Grunwaldzka Street): Lichtstrasse (after the war, Kolejarzy), Piwkostrasse (Syrokomli), Petschowstrasse (in 1945, Stanisława Dubois, from 1946, Miedziana), Pfefferstrasse (in 1945, Czerwonego Sztandar, from 1946 Gomulicki), Henningstrasse (in 1945 Barlicki, from 1946 Czarna). This foundation was established under the will of the Gdańsk merchant Heinrich B. Abegg (1791-1868); after purchasing the land, it built cheap houses for workers and poorer officials and offered them for sale on favorable terms. These were characteristic low brick houses, usually with gardens. (https://www.gdanskstrefa.com/nieco-temat-historii-wrzeszcza-cz-2/)
