The station opened in 1903 as part of railway line No. 410 Grzmiąca – Kostrzyn. In the pre-war period, it had the German name Bärwalde (Pommern). Passenger service was suspended in 1999, and the line was finally closed in 2012. The station building is a typical early 20th-century structure – brick, with a simple form and a gable roof. After its closure, it was converted into residential buildings, saving it from complete decay. Some infrastructure elements have survived, such as the water tower (unused but in good condition) and sections of the track.
