Between two tunnels is the entrance to a short trail toward the Cascata da Ribeira Quente waterfall. The trail was impassable (summer 2025). Walking through the stream, you can still get close to the waterfall.

Monument to the "builder" of the "Parque das Furnas," now known as "Parque Terra Nostra." The monument stands on a long avenue that offers another unique view of the park.

The Terra Nostra Park (Parque Terra Nostra) is a unique botanical garden. The thermal springs feed a large thermal pool, which can be used for a long soak. The park is beautifully landscaped and invites you to linger. Advantage: The park and the thermal pool offer much more than the "Caldeira Velha" and are also more affordable. Disadvantage: The water stains skin and swimwear very strongly!

The orchid garden at Parque Terra Nostra is especially worth seeing in spring. By the end of June, most of the orchids have finished blooming. But even without this gem, Parque Terra Nostra is a highlight in its own right!
