The gardens are divided into plots of approximately 30m2 and equipped with tool sheds, compost bins and shared water points. Future gardeners receive training in organic horticulture because in Terras de Cascais this is our method of production. Cooperation between gardeners is essential for the maintenance of the common spaces and equipment in each garden. The mutual assistance and sharing of knowledge that is generated throughout the process are fundamental to maintaining the quality and experience of these spaces. (Source: www.cascais.ambiente.pt )
