It's an interesting option to leave Parque do Mouchão via a dam on the Rio Nabão toward the outdoor pool or stadium. However, I doubt this is possible during floods.

A rather old arched road and pedestrian bridge connecting the two banks of the Nabão River in the city of Tomar. It is said that the Romans first crossed the Nabão River on this site. It was rebuilt in the 16th century and widened in the 19th century, with the stone railings removed and replaced with metal ones. It was completely redesigned in the first half of the 20th century, with the railings renewed and widened, and the piers and buttresses stabilized. It makes a stunning photo opportunity, especially at dusk and from the nearby parks.

The Arco das Freiras was built over the present-day Rua de Santa Iria to connect the former convent of the same name – Santa Iria – which was under the Observance of Saint Clare, with the former palace of Frei António de Lisboa. However, its original purpose was to connect the original convent with its 16th-century expansion. The massive, full-arch supports a robust rectangular corridor and features an intrados of hewn stone blocks. The entire structure is reinforced by lateral buttresses and covered by a gable roof. The area through which the corridor runs can be seen on the exterior elevations.

The impressive sculpture of the Festival of Trays was erected in 2023 at the Alves Redol roundabout in the center of Tomar. At the base of the giant headdress, which is illuminated at night, are the coats of arms of the 16 parishes of the municipality of Tomar, mounted on a white dove. The Festa dos Tabuleiros (Festival of Trays) has pagan origins and symbolizes the harvest season. In the Middle Ages, under Queen Isabella, it acquired a religious character. The headdresses of the Tomar festival are the only ones of their kind at the traditional Holy Spirit festivals held throughout the country.

The Mouchão Park is a beautiful garden in the heart of Tomar. This green oasis is surrounded by the Nabão River, creating several areas connected by a bridge and a small dam. The park offers magnificent views of some of the city's most important landmarks. In addition to a charming replica of a waterwheel, the shady and cool park also boasts an excellent restaurant in a prime location, O Mouchão.

A model of a hydraulic water wheel, once used to irrigate fields or supply water to mills. The wheel was built in 1976 and has been rebuilt and renovated several times. It is located in the Parque do Mouchão.
