The Hohe Stein von Fürstenstein – a Geotope The summit cliffs, composed of Saldenburg granite, exhibit pronounced spheroidal and mattress weathering. Several block flows lie at the foot of the rocky outcrop. Cliffs and block flows are the result of erosion, particularly by soil creep and weathering in the periglacial zone (permafrost region) of past ice ages. They are typical of higher elevations in the low mountain ranges between glacial zones. Very good food with a truly amazing roast beef with onions. You simply have to try it. The rest of the food is also very good, home-style cooking. 😋

A wonderful idyll at the former sawmill! The old shed and the mill building are now lovingly furnished holiday apartments where you can relax. There are bathing areas at the pond and also at the stream. The small chapel is also worth a visit.

Negative: Scene of gruesome Nazi crimes. Positive: Interestingly prepared and presented, the site should make it clear why such inhumane political conditions must never happen again. Also positive: Next door, right next to the bike path, there is a TransBayerwald bike repair station in case you have problems with your bike.

Wonderful, natural, wild stream. In some places you can step into the cool water to cool off your legs.
