The chapel dates back to Kaspar Huber, who undertook a pilgrimage to Lourdes due to a serious illness. After his recovery, he had the chapel built in 1885 as a token of gratitude.

The master builder Hans Kogler from Erding built the church between 1713 and 1719, it was lavishly furnished by Christian Jorhan the Elder. A few years ago the Marienkirche was extensively and lavishly renovated, so that today it shines again in its old splendor. The place itself was probably a place of power and thing place in pre-Christian times. Unfortunately not open during my visit. From the outside, the church made an impression on me that needed renovation.
