Barbara Chapel On a small hill, picturesquely embedded in nature, approx. 500 m from the Reisach power plant is the company's own St. Barbara Chapel. The chapel was built in 1960 by the workforce of the “Jansen” power plant group. When construction of the Reisach pumped storage power plant and its technical systems began in the early 1950s, work came to the area around Trausnitz for the first time. In some cases up to 800 workers found wages and bread. During the construction period from 1952 to 1955, six workers had to lose their lives in what was sometimes very dangerous work. This beloved gem was built in memory of the deceased. A memorial plaque on the chapel commemorates: Hubert Drescher Wenzel Güntner George Jung Hans Frisch Hans Schneider Alois Kirchberger and to its board member, Dr. Dr., who died on October 15, 1958. Ing. Bernhard Jansen.
