Unfortunately, it's always quite busy here in good weather. But otherwise, it's a quick connection between the two places.

The dam of the reservoir is at an altitude of 373.1 m above sea level. To get to the Hohenroth woodland at higher altitudes, you have to overcome an elevation difference of 266.90 meters.

In the well-kept park on the Eder, there are a few play areas and an outdoor fitness trail. I have seen nicer parks, but you can take a short stroll just because of its proximity to the river.

The Sieg spring is beautifully contained. At least I have never experienced the spring drying up in 25 years. Officially not drinking water - but I have drawn many liters of water here and have never had any problems.

A truly beautiful, but unfortunately short, railway cycle path, the old Siegen-Deuz line. More information is available at Bahntrassenradeln under NW 4.30. bahntrassenradeln.de/details/nw4_30.htm

Great cycle path between Helgersdorf and Werthenbach, belongs to the Netpher Radring, but has nothing to do with the Malerradweg.
