This is a stone wayside shrine/devotional cross. The inscription “LORD, MY GOD, DO NOT FORSAKE ME” corresponds in content to Psalm 38:22. In today's ecumenical translation, the passage reads: “Lord, do not forsake me, do not stay far from me, my God!”

The former Dommelsberg manor is the historical origin of the present-day hamlet of Dommelsberg, a district of the municipality of Empfingen. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1508. Dommelsberg was initially a pure manor with agricultural areas (including fields, meadows, and woodlands) and historically belonged to the dominion of Mühringen. In the 18th century, the manor grew into a hamlet through the settlement of day laborers. In the 17th century, there was also a flourishing brickworks with two kilns. The surrounding knight's estates fell to the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1805. In 1833, Dommelsberg was incorporated into Wiesenstetten and finally, together with Wiesenstetten, became part of the municipality of Empfingen in 1971.

Hohenmühringen Castle (often also referred to as Mühringen Castle). The estate is located on a hill above the Eyach valley and combines architectural styles from different eras – from the medieval defensive structure and elements of the Renaissance to romantic Historicism. The original castle dates back to the 12th to 13th century. In the 16th century, the estate was expanded with the three-story granary ("Neuer Bau"). In 1875, an extensive expansion was carried out in the Neo-Gothic style, during which the castle chapel was also added and the medieval keep (the so-called "Heidenturm") was provided with battlements. The castle is privately owned.

The Wehrstein castle ruins are located above Fischingen in the Neckar Valley and are among the most beautiful castle ruins in the region. From there, there is a wide view over the Neckar Valley and the surrounding forests. The castle was probably built in the 12th century; it was first documented in 1280. During the Thirty Years' War, the castle was largely destroyed in 1643 and has been a ruin ever since. Today, the site is freely accessible and a popular destination for hikers, cyclists, and history enthusiasts.
