Mutzbach Waterfall was the highlight of our walk. Surrounded by woodland and beautiful rock walls, it’s a lovely place to pause and listen to the water. The approach along the stream, following narrow forest paths, is part of what makes the visit so special. It was a little adventure for Maui and Teddy too: they bravely tackled the open metal stairs near the waterfall! If you’re walking with dogs, keep this section in mind when planning your route. 🐾🌿

Beautiful hike but dog owners beware: after the waterfall there is a very steep metal staircase. I had to carry my 20 kg dog up there, which was very dangerous. The path next to it is crooked, has slipped, is unsecured and the slope goes steeply down to the waterfall, so it's not an option.

The linden tree shown is no longer there. It has passed away and had to be felled. However, there is now a new tree and three benches have been set up. The view of the area and towards the Alps is sensational.
