This massive reservoir spans more than 8,000 acres and, depending on who you talk to, is somewhere around 180 to 190 feet deep. It makes for great scenery on your ride or, if you're really feeling ambitious, you could pack a travel fishing pole and try your hand for brown and rainbow trout. (Make sure you check local fishing regulations before getting your line wet!)

The Rosendale Trestle Bridge, situated along the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, is famous for providing a breathtaking view of the Rosendale area and the Roundout Creek. It's recommended to ride slowly across the bridge due to some boards needing maintenance.

Situated in the Catskill Mountains, about 75 miles northwest of New York City, the Rondout Reservoir plays a crucial role in the city's water supply system. It spans the towns of Wawarsing in Ulster County and Neversink in Sullivan County, serving as the primary gathering point for the city's Delaware System, which furnishes half of its daily water needs. From this bridge you get a lovely wide view of the reservoir below.

Near the midpoint of Peekamoose Road, we find ourselves at the shore of Peekamoose lake. This little body of water freshens the way and offers a little peace to enjoy. You might be even able to spot some fish in the water. It is really close from Peekamoose Blue Hole. The forest surrounding the area makes it a very warm ride through its roads.
