The Hackenberger Mill in Saarburg is a 13th-century mill museum that is open seasonally. The season begins April 13th and is open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The entrance is located below the waterfall in Staden. The museum offers, among other things, a new listening tour and a detailed model of the mill.

There is a fantastic circular path around the lake and if you want, you can extend your tour by taking the many hiking trails next to it. After the tour, it's worth visiting the brewery right by the lake. In summer, you can also go for a ride on a pedal boat or go swimming. The tent and campsite is right by the lake.

The former abbey in Mettlach is the headquarters of the Villeroy & Boch company. It came into the family's possession after secularization. The abbey church was demolished in 1819, except for the "Old Tower".
