The Catholic parish church of St. Pankratius was built in 1911 in Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau styles, designed by the Munich architect Josef Elsner. Previously, from 1393 onward, several other churches stood on the same site, which were destroyed by lightning or became too small. Church traditions are highly valued in Reit im Winkl, from the blessing of palm branches on Palm Sunday to the Corpus Christi procession. The parish belongs to the Archdiocese of Munich.
