A route that's easy to drive, but also often quite busy.

The cycle path is very easy to navigate on a bicycle or gravel bike. For road cyclists, I would say some sections aren't quite as suitable.

The branching forest path immediately catches your eye with its green wall and a few painted concrete sections. This is clearly a gateway into a formerly secret and strictly guarded area, and for that reason alone, exploring this area more closely is a very exciting experience. You arrive straight at the edge of the famous Waldsiedlung, but after about 500m or 700m, you have to turn right to see the first houses. These are definitely something special, as they are historic buildings and properties that you can freely enter! Erich Honecker, Walter Ulbricht, and all the former GDR leaders once lived here. They stayed in the Waldsiedlung for protection or lived there permanently and lived extremely well compared to the rest of the population. They are rightly referred to as the GDR bigwigs! This is exactly where everyone can get a nice impression, even though today everything looks almost like a completely normal settlement with single-family homes. A little further back, or inside the formerly fenced-off area, you'll find the stately buildings of the spa clinic, an idyllic pond, and a very attractive ambiance with a beautifully maintained park! Note: It's especially worth getting there for the wonderful restaurant terrace near the pond, where you can enjoy a nice coffee. Leaving the spa clinic at the official entrance is also a special experience, passing through an original gate!

I'm not entirely sure if I pressed the right button, because to be honest, I can't recommend it because I couldn't find it. There was only a kitchen studio there. Perhaps the collective intelligence can help here and tell me if I was simply looking in the wrong place.
