The walk around Lake Crivitz is about 3 kilometers long and is a beautiful one. It's a really nice place to walk.

Unfortunately, this highlight has been created far too often. The path wasn't particularly pleasant for touring bikes – it was potholed (in parts) and branches and bushes overhanging the path. But it's all doable. It just takes a long time and drags on...

Probably the most comfortable resting place on the canal

The place is theoretically very nice, but unfortunately, it was extremely littered when we were there. Disgusting. A quick photo and then we moved on. Apparently a popular open-air restroom, so take a look at what it looks like right now.

A HL "look" every 2m. Thanks for that, I wouldn't have noticed it without the 20 highlights set.

Both the view and the lake have already been added as highlights countless times. There's no need to recreate every previous meter and clutter up the komoot map. What a pity to miss out on the real highlights!

The drawbridge is currently closed. It can't be opened. Therefore, the waterway is currently impassable for larger boats in both directions. The bike path along the Stör Waterway isn't affected by this, however. For the "Störkrug" restaurant, it's a good idea to read the Google reviews and get an idea. The path along the water is "natural or gravel, with coarse gravel in the lower section, like in the Lüneburg Heath or similar areas." 🙃

There are no traces of the first church in Crivitz. The foundation remains in the sacristy probably belong to a successor. The current building was probably built in brick at the end of the 14th century. While retaining the same floor plan, it underwent a number of changes over the centuries. The church received its final appearance today after the tower and roof were rebuilt after the town fire in 1660. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadtkirche_Crivitz
