The Tidewater Bikeway is a dedicated rail-to-trail route, named after the former Tidewater Southern Railroad that operated trains into Manteca as late as 1983. It runs through the middle of Manteca from Lathrop Road to Spreckels Avenue and is a flat, paved trail with an adjacent crushed gravel path for runners. It's an ideal alternative to avoid the busy traffic in the area, especially during peak hours.

Hotel Stockton is a Mission Revival Style building opened in 1910, designed as a grand hotel with 252 rooms. Popular among visitors to Stockton, especially traveling entertainers, in 1912, the City of Stockton moved its City Hall into the hotel, where it remained until 1926. The building's role in local government ultimately outlasted its role as a hotel; when the hotel closed for business in 1960, the county courthouse relocated to the building for the next four years while a new courthouse was built. The building served yet another branch of government in 1976, when San Joaquin County purchased the building as office space for its Public Administration Department. The Hotel Stockton was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Across the street are several generations of ever bigger court houses, with a wall timeline of the building successions starting in the mid 19th century.

It's a welcome respite to bike not on the shoulder but separate from the highway, on the parallel old road. It also gives the opportunity to stop and pay more attention to the wetlands and wildlife inhabiting the delta channel next to the old road.

Named after Dean DeCarli, a former Stockton Mayor who is also called the "Father of Development in Stockton." The square was dedicated in 2001 as part of downtown revitalization. The plaza's permanent shade structures, water feature and landscaping received numerous awards, including the AIA Award, Phoenix Award, and Council of Government Award. It is occasionally rented for open air markets, craft, and entertainment events.

Enormous 2018 wall painting covering the entire South wall of a 5 story building, visible from miles away. Brandan βBMikeβ Odums #StudioBe of New Orleans was invited by Mayor Michael Tubbs who suggested a woman he would like to see honored by BMikeβs recognizable and powerful portraiture. The giant East Main street mural is a vibrant tribute to Jasmine DellaFosse, a Stockton youth organizer and pillar of the community. The mural incorporates a few quotes from the Mayor, as well as the image of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose vision was the reason the Mayor was inspired to explore guaranteed income. One of three murals in downtown Stockton as part of a project using public art to spread the word about the Stockton Economic Empowerment Demonstration, or SEED. Under the leadership of Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs, SEED started distributing unconditional cash stipends of $500 per month to a group of Stockton residents to provide some measure of economic security. https://www.StocktonDemonstration.org
