According to the information panel: Hubertusburg Castle was severely damaged during the Seven Years' War. From 1762 to 1763, negotiations between Prussia, Austria, and Saxony took place in the southern wing of the castle. These negotiations resulted in the Peace of Hubertusburg. Experienced state officials conducted the negotiations. The trained lawyer Thomas Freiherr von Fritsch (1700-1775) participated as the Saxon plenipotentiary.
