I rode the Chief Ladiga Trail as part of a longer trip connecting to the Silver Comet Trail, and it's a fantastic ride. The trail is smooth (Little bumpy at places compare to Silver Comet), well maintained, and takes you through small towns, forests, and beautiful rural scenery across eastern Alabama. One thing I really enjoyed was the peaceful atmosphere and how easy it is to put in long miles without dealing with traffic. If you're looking for a relaxing rail-trail ride with plenty of scenery and a true long-distance cycling experience, the Chief Ladiga Trail is definitely worth visiting.
