Alex Foxfield
August 3, 2026, Chute Sainte-Anne

This is an impressive cascade that shares its name with a much taller, 74-metre (243-ft) waterfall near Quebec City. This Chute Sainte-Anne, although smaller, is still worth a little detour to admire on a hike around the western end of the impressive Mount Albert.

This footbridge over the Rivière Sainte-Anne provides a lovely view through the valley. Countless hikers have crossed this way from the nearby campground, seeking adventure on the western end of the sprawling Mount Albert.

The rapids of the Ruisseau du Diable are an exciting sight during a hike up towards the nearby Chute du Diable. This eastern end of Mount Albert is a spectacular place, with numerous cascading streams and gorgeous lakes.

The ascent up to here is drawn out. In parts, the path is a bit rocky. But in return, you get this view. It's worth it.
