The ride takes about 10 minutes (5 round trip), and on the other side, seats are swapped so everyone can see everything. The whirlpool under your feet is a unique spectacle. The waterfalls are an incredible natural spectacle. The boat ride on the Hornblower is also highly recommended. Tickets should be purchased in advance, and unfortunately, the bus doesn't operate until 10:00 a.m.

And thanks to the generousity of a mysterious private benefactor and the contributions of a local community-minded construction firm, the bridge is now a reality. The new footbridge is part of the Laura Secord Heritage Trail, a permanent 32-km long hiking trail from Queenston to DeCew House which is being established this year to mark the bicentennial of Laura Secord's famous trek.
