Homer Watson Park is a relaxed green space along the Grand River, known for its mix of quiet forest, open meadows, and easy walking paths. Named after Canadian landscape painter Homer Watson, the park has a bit of local history behind it, but most people come for the fresh air and wide, natural feel. The trails are mostly gentle and well-worn, making them good for walkers of all levels. You can wander under the trees, follow the river, or stop in the open areas to enjoy the views. It’s a nice spot for a peaceful walk, a bit of birdwatching, or a simple break from the city.

There are two routes heading to Brantford, each take you down the opposite side of the river. The Bridge crossing is the faster route

Uncommon for this region is to see trout farm. They are mostly seen in mountainous BC or Alberta. I spent some time watching the guys attending the pools and examining the technical setup of the production (I'm an engineer by the profession). Very rich water well supplies the pools by the number of pumps. Oxygen is added to the water to simulate mountain creek felling. Fish is separated by the size in different pools. Now I know from where my trout comes from.
