Will
March 20, 2026, Egan Chute

There is a small trail that branches off here with a very nice vantage point of Egan Chute. You can also see across the river to the Western Trail, which has more direct access to the chute.

March 20, 2026, End of eastern trail

The trail gets less defined at this point and there are several logging roads that branch off to the right. Generally, if you stay to the left and follow the river, you will find footpaths that lead you to the river banks and a view of Farm Chute, where you can explore before tracing your way back to the trailhead.

Will
March 20, 2026, East trailhead

There are two trails in the Egan Chutes Provincial park. This trailhead on the east side of the York River leads to the longer of the two trails, which skirts the eastern edge of the river. The trailhead is located on an unmarked logging road off Highway 28, just east of the York River bridge. There is a small gravel pull-out where you can park, and there are no bathrooms or services at the trailhead. The access road can be rough and unplowed in winter, but is easily accessible in other seasons.
