July 23, 2026, Marysville Falls Trail

While the waterfall is the main attraction, the boardwalk out to the falls isn't something to rush through. Though only 300 metres long, this path goes through stunning scenery that you'll want to savour instead of rushing out to Marysville Falls.

This stunning 30-metre high waterfall is easily accessible from Marysville. The water cascades over the rock while surrounded by cedar and fir trees, making this one of the most picturesque locations in the region.

The Kimberley Valley spreads out below, with the ski runs of Kimberley Alpine Resort carving broad paths through the surrounding forest. The mix of open slopes, dense forest, and distant peaks gives a good sense of the scale of the Rocky Mountain scenery surrounding Kimberley.

Ego Alley traverses the slopes of North Star Mountain through a mix of open ski-run terrain and forested sections. The trail climbs steadily and can feel quite steep in places, particularly after rain when loose dirt, roots, and gravel can become slippery underfoot. As you gain elevation, the open terrain provides views across Kimberley and the surrounding Rocky Mountain landscape, making it a rewarding climb within the Kimberley trail network.

The Ram Creek Hot Springs Trail starts by heading west out of the parking area on a Forest Service Road that climbs gently through the forest. You will exit the tree cover where the road then becomes more of a trail; continue on until you reach a small clearing. From there, you should start to hear the water. Go just uphill to the right to reach the springs.

Ram Creek Hot Springs is a set of remote, undeveloped, natural hot springs located within the Ram Creek Ecological Reserve. The pools offer great views of the surrounding mountains and forest.

The trail begins in thick forest along the northern bank of Dewar Creek. As the path turns north, hikers are treated to dramatic views of mountain ridges on all sides. Continue through the subalpine terrain until you reach the hot springs, which mark the end of the trail.

Dewar Hot Springs is situated deep within the Canadian wilderness. These hot springs consist of a series of thermal pools perched on the side of Dewar Creek. While the trek to reach the springs is challenging, it is absolutely worth the effort, and the remote distance helps keep the crowds minimal.
