They cleared out a ton of trees along the shoreline by the main parking area that is right off the highway. Not sure why, but it does make the views of the lake nice!

They added some benches and picnic tables recently. Nice place to stop on the bike trail.

There are a few spots that people park here to get on the trail. I usually go on a bit further and park at Cannon Lake.

We hoped that we could find a public park in Madison Lake with a shaded picnic table but the only public park we could find in Madison Lake was a small children's playground with two benches and no shade. So we settled for the Anchor Bar and Grill, located right on the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail, which for the price of a beer, provided shaded seating.

This trailhead has public restrooms, plenty of parking, a shaded picnic table, and a water faucet.

Barely any water coming over the dam tonight. Still then it's interesting to see what the rocks and plants look like when they don't have water crashing over them.

I still haven't eaten here, but I hear good things from others that have. I took a picture of it while out on a ride last night.
