The Tara Gorge is beautiful and the drive on the mostly very quiet road is a dream. A day ticket must be purchased at the foot of the ascent (5 euros)

Nearly zero traffic in the morning. Excellent tarmac all the way up and down the other side too. The slope is moderate and very even, making it pleasant to drive.
