June 9, 2023, Old water pump

There is a water pump here acting as a drinking source for hikers. It is an unusual old looking variant, but seems to work, even tho the water quality is a bit suspect. Using a filter I didn't get sick at least.

June 9, 2023, Ösjön shelter

Great shelter next to a really lovely lake. The shelter is located just by the water with easy access for swimming. There is a fireplace and some benches. Just 200m along the trail south of the shelter is an outhouse. To the east is a high peak with a stunning view over the lake. Seems to be a popular spot.

Mörtsjön is a nice but small lake surrounded by pretty dense forest on all sides. The few meters of clear ground around the water is wet and swampy, but it is possible to walk on and to reach the open water.
