Vedana lake, of glacial origin, is an Edoreic basin: therefore it has neither tributaries nor emissaries, but is fed by underground water veins. Definitely worth a break!

Vedana Lake is a small stretch of water of glacial origin located in the municipality of Sospirolo, in the province of Belluno. Located immediately south of the Monti del Sole chain, it does not have tributaries and emissaries, thus constituting an endorheic basin. The lake lies in an area of great naturalistic interest, at the gates of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park; it occupies a small depression caused by an ancient riverbed of the Cordevole river, within an area called Masiere, a large expanse of large boulders and debris now largely covered by pioneer vegetation. The lake is fed by underground water veins, along the direction of an ancient abandoned valley of the Cordevole torrent.

The walkway, which had been destroyed by the fury of the Cordevole torrent during the Vaia storm, has been completely redone. Now, as you can see in the photos, it is truly beautiful and safe. It is located in Peròn, in the municipality of Sedico (BL). On the walkway you can only go on foot. The bike must be pushed by hand.

The church of Saints Peter and Paul is the parish church of Sospirolo, in the province of Belluno. The current parish church, commissioned by the archpriest Don Gregorio De Lotto and designed by Marco Poliaghi, was built in neo-Gothic style between 1889 and 1898 and consecrated - as a plaque affixed in 1954 recalls - on March 23 of that same year by the patriarch of Venice Giuseppe Sarto, future Pope Pius X.

The small Sanctuary exudes spirituality and suggestion; placed on a hill at the entrance to the Valle del Cordevole, it welcomed travelers and pilgrims from all over Europe with the adjacent hospice. Currently the church is dedicated to San Gottardo, a Benedictine monk particularly venerated in German-speaking countries. In medieval times, these territories, crossed by frequented transit routes, were affected by significant Nordic cultural and artistic influences. Precisely the passage of the important communication route that connected the Venetian plain with the Empire favored the birth of the hospices of the Val Cordevole, and it is understandable that one of them is dedicated to San Gottardo, the founder of hospitable structures. Inside the building, the oldest work appears to be an image of the Saint painted on wood in the first half of the 15th century, but the most precious is the beautiful altarpiece painted by Frigimelica depicting the Virgin among the Saints Gottardo and Brunone.
