Nice climb short but intense with a maximum gradient of 21 degrees. The view from the top of the lake is rewarding

At the top of Góra Spiczasta (Wzgórze Wolności) in Kartuzy, there is the historic Chapel of the Holy Cross. The current building was rebuilt in 1989. This place is famous for its picturesque location and old local legends. Location: The chapel is situated in Kartuzy at Wzgórze Wolności street, on the right side of the road towards Sierakowice. History: The first chapel was built on this site in 1653 on the initiative of the Carthusian order. It functioned until 1826 and then fell into ruin. Legends: A Kashubian legend is associated with the place, according to which the construction of the chapel was supposed to finally drive away the witches gathering on the hill (hence the former name: Góra Czarownic).

Quite a steep climb, but it's only a few seconds of struggle. I recommend not giving up:)

The area is still officially considered a construction site, which is why entry is prohibited — anyone who dares to do so does so at their own risk. However, seeing the former magnificent building from the outside is an experience in itself. Furthermore, according to „Troj Miasto”, there is now hope that Lapalice Castle could eventually be completed in the not-too-distant future: According to reports, the city council has approved the development of ideas for future use, almost 40 years after the dream began to take shape. Kazimierczak is said to have already expressed interest in a collaboration.

Kazimierczak has since submitted multiple applications to be allowed to continue building on his castle, but so far they have all been rejected. And yet, the unfinished building, solely due to its incredible size, has become a tourist attraction that thousands of people visit every year. Among locals, the place is just as popular for picnicking against the impressive backdrop.

This impressive church, built by the Carthusian monks between 1383 and 1405, is unmissable! It is the best-preserved Carthusian church in Poland. Inside, it boasts magnificent historical furnishings: an altar from 1444, Baroque choir stalls, and chancel walls upholstered in Flemish cordovan. And the exterior? The roof is shaped like a coffin!

A fantastic swimming area with a well-maintained pier overlooking the lake, with a grassy shore where you can enjoy a picnic or relax after a walk. At sunset, the views of the lake are simply incredible!

If you're hiking the Kashubian Trail, it's worth deviating a bit to see the Mirachowskie Caves. These caves were discovered in the 1950s and 1960s. They are up to 2 meters high and between 3 and 6 meters deep. Warning! Do not cross the wooden barrier if you value your life, as the ground is slipping and there's a risk of collapse.
