The first records of the existence of the mill come from the times of the Teutonic Knights. In 1425, a privilege was issued to establish a mill on a tributary of the Łyna River. Back then it was moved by a water wheel. In 1907, a new mill was built on the foundations of the old mill, which survived the turmoil of war in good condition and worked as an electrically powered mill until 1993. Since 1991, the facility has been entered in the register of monuments.
