El Pont de Goi és un dels indrets històrics més emblemàtics de l’entorn de Valls. Situat sobre el riu Francolí, aquest antic pas del camí de Tarragona a Lleida conserva una llarga història que es remunta a l’antiguitat i que va tenir continuïtat durant l’edat mitjana amb la reconstrucció del pont al segle XIV. La seva estructura de pedra, amb tres arcs, evoca segles de comunicacions entre el litoral i l’interior del país. L’any 1809 fou escenari de la batalla del Pont de Goi, un dels episodis més destacats de la Guerra del Francès al Camp de Tarragona. Un espai on conflueixen patrimoni, paisatge fluvial i memòria històrica.
