Not to be missed! The magnificent ruins of a massive church in Kniazie. Destroyed during World War II, it reportedly housed over 1,000 people!

It's worth stopping at the Freedom Monument in Nowe Brusno. Built to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Poland's regaining of independence in 1928, the eagle sculpture was unfortunately destroyed by Ukrainian nationalists during World War II. In its place, a stone cross, made in the 1960s, still stands. It's an interesting historical site.

The cemetery is located on a rural road near a former Orthodox church. No element of the original cemetery layout has survived. It covers an area of 0.12 ha and is fenced with a fence made in 1987. It was renovated in 2004 on the initiative of the Austrian Black Cross, in agreement with the Horyniec-Zdrój Commune. Source: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cmentarz_wojenne_w_Werchracie

A world-class facility, entered in 2013 on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The place is worth visiting with Mr. Ryszard - a guide. The church from the end of the 16th century was built without the use of nails. Entry at designated hours and only in the presence of a guide - so it is worth finding out in advance how accessible the facility is on a given day.
