This female bronze figure was created in 1972 and represents the Mediterranean turned into a woman. She is leaning on one leg and extends her arm towards the sea, as if inviting passers-by to approach it. Her location is also not accidental: it is in front of the Museu Enric Monjo, dedicated to the sculptor from Vilassar. If you cycle along the coast, pay attention to the direction of her gesture: she has been pointing to the Mediterranean for over 50 years.

A good option for combining asphalt and mountain in the same route. From Argentona you can follow the road to Cabrera de Mar and continue towards Vilassar and the promenade, but the interesting part is the multiple escapes towards the mountain. Through Madà, Burriac and other detours you can leave the asphalt and quickly connect with dirt roads and trails of the Serralada Litoral. Ideal for MTB or e-bike when you want to improvise: today beach, today mountain... or a bit of both.

An iconic point that marks the entrance to Mataró. Laia l’Arquera, created by local artist Josep Maria Rovira i Brull in 1998, stands 34 meters tall as a symbol of the city. It represents a prehistoric woman with a bow, but with a key detail: it points towards Burriac castle, connecting the present with the Iberian origins of the territory. More than a decorative figure, its creator conceived it as a kind of goddess linked to the land and the identity of the place. A good stopping point to look up for a moment before continuing to ride.

Fantastic views of the coast, the road is in very good condition. Always be careful because there is car traffic in summer and weekends especially.
