Watersley in Sittard is a historic estate that has been transformed into the Watersley Sports & Talentpark, a unique and vibrant residential campus for the development of national and international top sports talent. The complex is located on the southeastern edge of Sittard, right at the foot of the Kollenberg and amidst the Limburg nature. It began in 1752 as a hunting lodge for the Loyens-Delhougne family. Between 1876 and 1967, it served as a Franciscan monastery complex, during which the characteristic chapel, side wings, and additional floors were built. After decades of use as a care institution, the estate has been owned by the province of Limburg since 2019 and has been repurposed as the current innovative sports campus.
