Great views. A bit steep, surefootedness is a plus. There are so many cairns on the way to the summit that it takes a bit of thinking about which way is the right one.

As the literature so beautifully puts it: A huge pile of scree, but a very worthwhile mountain hike. And it's true! The ascent can be divided into several sections: the grassy hump below, a sloping ridge to the lower scree hump, then the 15m steep slope, a traverse to the right, then up to the right of the red band, another traverse, and the long final climb to the left of the gully through a huge scree field. The views both along the trail and at the top are simply breathtaking. Particularly noteworthy: the magnificent view of the Zugspitzplatt. Important: Poles and a helmet are mandatory, as is a high degree of surefootedness and a willingness to face the multitude of scree of all imaginable sizes. Use the cairns as a guide, assuming you can spot them in the sea of rock.

The rope is not available at the moment, but the safety ring itself is also suitable to pull yourself up

From the Knorrhütte to the valley station of the glacier cable car there is only scree spread over about 500m of elevation, with small snowy sections towards the end (summer) - all doable if you watch your step!

⏳ Another hour to the Knorrhütte - now the hardest part begins! 🏔️💪 If it says "another hour to the Knorrhütte", then you can prepare yourself for the most demanding section of the route. This is where it gets really demanding - but if you master this part (and I am firmly convinced of that!), then you will be able to leave the rest of the tour behind you. So take a deep breath, keep your focus and move on. Let's go! 🚶♂️🔥🏔️

Descending from the Knorrhütte, the tour becomes a hike from here. Going uphill, the tour takes on the character of climbing stairs. 🤩

In the shaded area on the north side they last until late summer.
