It's a small town with few inhabitants and little social life, and an elderly population. It has running water, like most towns in the area, and a church in reasonable condition. It's an ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of the world for a few hours. The only bar was closed the day I visited.

It's not advisable to even look inside, as it's clearly visible from the dirt road, giving the impression that much of the mountain is hollow, and rainwater seepage creates these caves that form the stalactites and stalagmites. This small cavity has surely been forming for hundreds of years.

From the path, you can clearly see the entrance to this small cave, which has collapsed over the years, revealing what could very well be stalactites and stalagmites. I didn't dare peer in, stopping at the mouth to take a photo. I don't think it's advisable to enter due to the risk of collapse.

This building has served as the barracks of the Zaorejas Civil Guard, although it is no longer in service 24 hours a day, it serves as a stop for the civil patrols of the worthy force.

A curious place where the collapse of the side cliffs, as a consequence of the Lisbon earthquake, closed the Tagus River for several days, interrupting the flow of water. Today, there are still a large number of huge rocks at the bottom of the Tagus. It is worth visiting.

At the top of the cliff of the Tajo River Canyon, you can see an extraordinary landscape, from the Strait of La Tormellera, which is considered the Gateway to the Alto Tajo, passing through El Hundido de Armallones, to the area of Las Carquiñas, all the majesty of the Tajo River. While you are on the Pico del Alar, you will be accompanied by vultures flying around you.
