José Sala Sala, the architect of the Sanctuary, was clearly inspired by Antoni Gaudí's world-famous masterpiece. Construction, in the style of the Sagrada Familia, began in 1918 but required three phases, so it wasn't completed until 1946. A unique example of Catalan Modernism in the heart of the countryside. The Sanctuary, in the style of Gaudí's Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, was built in 1918 and completed in 1946. Several manageable routes are available for mountain biking, and some are even entirely rideable. During the ascent, you can already see your destination in the distance: the Sanctuary perched atop the hill. Easily accessible, and the effort is well worth it. It is a fabulous work of art by Gaudí on top of La Mola hill in the middle of the countryside. It is worth visiting and taking a breath on one of the benches around this temple contemplating the views of the valley. Right next to the sanctuary is a restaurant and an Almohad-style castle.

The church is located on a rocky plateau next to the ruins of the old castle 'La Mola' of Novelda. The church has a pot shape, which symbolizes a pitcher and is made up of brown stone walls with unevenly round natural stones from the area. Construction of the church began in 1918 and was carried out in three phases. Construction was completed in 1946.

This religious building is located 3 km outside of Novelda at the foot of the 541 m high Mola peak. It was designed in Art Nouveau style by engineer D.José Sala Sala. The construction of the church began in 1918, but it was not completed until 1946 and is thus inspired by Catalan modernism. The building is reminiscent of the chapel of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. In addition to Novelda marble, tiles, bricks and river debris from the Vinalopó River were used for the construction.
