However, the largest expansion occurred between 1781 and 1803, a period in which the temple was remodeled by Josep Moretó i Codina, who gave it its current neoclassical character. The current façade of the cathedral dates from this stage. In 1891, the Episcopal Museum of Vic opened its doors, right in front of the cathedral and above its previous cloister, which included some works initially located in the cathedral. Already in the 20th century, the mural paintings inside by Josep Maria Sert stand out. In 1931 the cathedral was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument, but shortly after, in the first years of the Spanish civil war, the cathedral suffered a fire, which caused part of the building to collapse, and it was restored shortly after.

The Cathedral of San Pedro de Vic, officially Cathedral of San Pedro Apostle, is located in the province of Barcelona (Spain). It is a religious temple and headquarters of the diocese of the town of the same name. It is characterized because it covers a large part of European architectural history in its different styles, from the Romanesque to the Neoclassical, passing through the full Gothic, the late and the Baroque. The initial cathedral was built during the episcopate of Abbot Oliba, bishop of Vic (1018 and 1046) in Romanesque style, being consecrated in 1038 by Archbishop Wifred of Narbonne. The bell tower and the crypt are preserved from this stage, whose capitals belong to a previous temple. The cloister dates back to the 14th century, highlighting the columns and capitals, in a marked Gothic style. The main altarpiece also belongs to this style, although it is later Gothic, dating from the 15th century. Already in the baroque the chapel of San Bernardo is included.

Despite the multiple uses that the place had, the condition of the temple is outstanding. The columned portico rises above the podium, where it is accessed by a front staircase. The columns are smooth, with the Corinthian capitals and entablature crowning the cella. The building is a historicist reconstruction from the 19th century, idealized in the model of the only two remains that remained of the original: a Corinthian capital and a column shaft, as well as the walls of the cella that survived as part of the old Montcada palace. .

The Roman temple of Vic is located in the upper area of the city of Vic, on Padre Xifré street, in the heart of the Osona region (Catalonia). The building was built at the beginning of the 2nd century, the golden age of the Roman Empire. The temples were a basic piece of every Roman city, even so, the whereabouts of this specific one were unknown until the late date of 1882. In the 11th century, the temple was literally covered by the structure of the Moncada Castle, later It became the residence of the Veguers and finally, the Vic prison. It was not until 1882, during the demolition procedures of the old castle, when the workers sighted with amazement a Corinthian capital.
