Beautiful solo Sunday stroll with friends or family by bike or on foot

The municipality had the good idea to prohibit the roadway to car traffic, and as there is a parallel pedestrian promenade, bicycles are quiet.

Very friendly but it can get crowded especially when the weather is nice. I went there at the end of February 2022 and it seems that the road is closed to motorized vehicles on Sundays which can make bike rides easier and more pleasant, thus avoiding either the proximity of cars on the road or slaloming on the wide sidewalk . Good to know: the path below the road just on the edge of the Marne is prohibited for cycling.

The marl edges of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, it's pretty you can go around them at least a large eastern part. However, you have to choose your moment well, there were a lot of people on this Saturday at 11 a.m. The paths along the marl are prohibited for cycling, so there remains the wide sidewalk (shared by pedestrians, pushchairs, bicycles, etc.) or the small road (which is not very wide shared with cars). .. It is therefore necessary to choose well are moment, I saw a panel which announces that the motorized vehicles are prohibited on the small road on Sunday, I think that it is thus necessary to privilege this niche to benefit fully from this very pretty framework with bicycle. PS: I did not add a must-have, there are plenty of them and this one was offered to me by Komoot. However, it is not an essential "mountain bike" it is typed "bike outing"

Very protected section of the banks of the Marne with rare traffic. Quiet, beautiful and relaxing environment. Many baffles and speed bumps.

A great classic outings in eastern Paris. From Chennevières to Joinville the one-way road runs along the Marne and the speed limit of 30 km/h calms traffic. As good for a short stroll from Paris as for returning from a 100 kilometer outing in Seine-et-Marne.
