The Strasbourg campsite is very centrally located (about 10 minutes from the old town). The grounds are very well-maintained and very green with lots of trees. The pitches are sometimes a bit tight. It's convenient for a motorhome. Caravans and cars are okay. However, you can park your car in front of the site if necessary. Reservations are mandatory. The site is extremely busy year-round. Pre-order baguettes, etc., and they're ready for pickup from 8:00 a.m. The bakery in the apartment building in front of the site is open from 6:00 a.m., even on weekends.

Previously, the bridges were made of wood and covered, hence the name. They were long ago replaced by new ones made of stone and without a roof. The name has remained. It refers to the bridges as well as the towers (three out of four still stand), which together previously formed a defensive structure.
