The Église Notre-Dame of Plan-de-Baix lies slightly below the village on the old path through the Gervanne valley. The Romanesque building dates back to the 12th century in its core and originally belonged to a Benedictine priory. The single-nave church was initially probably provided with an open roof truss; its vaults were only created after 1644. Characteristic features are the semi-circular apse, the dome over the crossing, and the simple facade with round arched blind arcades. Today, Notre-Dame is considered one of the important historical buildings of the small village on the southern edge of the Vercors.
