Occasionally dismount the Specialized Vado - nevertheless a fascinatingly beautiful route - the tour has many great sections overall, but also very bumpy on many parts. Fantastic but not cozy.😉

Very smooth, very good on mountain bikes and should do the job on gravel.

As noted by others, this climb is not for those with anything less than very good fitness. If you want to enjoy this climb on a bike you need to be very fit or using a quite powerful e-MTB. The route in many places is loose, rough and technical rock. I had to push up about a quarter of the ascent (very fit but on a manual full-suspension bike). The descent is fun and challenging, though you may run into hikers, so be careful.
