The dam and mill channel dating from 1563 are still preserved. The water power once served a grain mill, hemp grater, chair maker's shop, and sawmill. From 1893, 110 V direct current was generated. Today, a Francis shaft turbine with a horizontal shaft still generates 40 hp of energy for 50 households at a usable head of 3.60 m. In addition to agriculture and viticulture, there was an inn and hostel for farmers who had milled grain. The mill was shut down in 1928. Since then, the family has operated a hotel-restaurant.
