When you come from Rennes, the mill of Pont-Réan announces the bridge that you will have to cross to continue on the towpath towards the lock of Boël.

The towpath leaves the Vilaine for a little less than 2 km to follow the Cicé canal, a long straight line without much interest. I recommend going around, between the Champcors mill and the Cicé lock, to follow the Vilaine along a more varied towpath, which offers beautiful views of the meanders of the river.

This perfectly shaped little lake is a great fishing destination. But it is also a pleasure to walk there and a great addition to any hike in the area.
