Above Kirchenarnbach, between corn and potato fields, stands the Maria Bildeich chapel. Construction began in the spring of 1840. The idea for it probably came from Pastor Nagel from Kirchenarnbach. A stone next to the outdoor altar with the year 1756 suggests that a chapel once stood there. In the 1960s, the chapel was renovated and the complex also received a fountain with a figure of St. Hubertus. A statue of the Sorrowful Mother of God in a hollowed-out oak tree is venerated as a miraculous image. The Pietà dates from before the Reformation. It is unknown who carved it. The beginning of the pilgrimage is also a mystery. It developed on the basis of a legend of its discovery in connection with a legend of its return.
