This path is a highlight for gravel bikes. Once you've made it out of Hamburg and into this area, it's well worth riding here instead of taking the cycle path that runs parallel. You get an insight into the moor and can go even deeper into the moor at some points and have a look around. On the edge of the route are wide cow pastures as well as flat moor and grass areas. The surface is very changeable. Every now and then the ditch on the moor is dredged, then parts of the path are difficult to ride on due to the heavy equipment.
