The ferry is fun! But be careful: the slope is quite steep to get there. If you have a bike trailer, I advise you to detach it before getting on the ferry (which we obviously didn't do). It will be much easier. We went up with 2 gravel bikes, 1 trailer, 1 bike + tag-along bike, 1 child's mountain bike, 3 adults and 3 children. It's fine 😁

A castle to visit if you have the opportunity! Otherwise, it remains very visible from the road!

This ancient castle of the county of Anjou is located on the edge of the D 55. You will not be able to miss it if you pass through Brissac during your outing.

Along the Loire, as on other rivers, the spirit is at the guinguette, and L'Embardée, at Port Maillard, deserves a stop. At the water's edge, in an area dedicated to rest, you will be happy to be able to enjoy a life-saving refreshment after a long drive under the powerful sun of the region.
