This is the Rillesten megalithic grave, a classic example of a simple dolmen from the Neolithic Funnel Beaker culture (approximately 3,500–3,200 BC). It is characterized by its small burial chamber formed by two massive upright stones (orthostats) that are split, and which originally supported a large capstone (now missing) to create an enclosed tomb. It represents the earliest form of megalithic architecture in Denmark.
