The Wartturm was built in the 14th century. There were once 5 towers. At the tower, there is a sky swing and a beautiful resting place.

At a higher elevation, next to the village church, lies the Kirchberg manor. Until the 19th century, this was the seat of the von Buttlar zu Kirchberg family. You reach the farmyard through the mountain gate. Then, two architecturally similar manor houses and several outbuildings are grouped around the large courtyard. Overall, an impressive complex. Next to the mountain gate is a small museum.

The Altenstädter Warte, also called Naumburger Warte or simply the Warte, is the stump of a watchtower built in the 14th century near the former municipal boundary of the Electorate of Mainz town of Naumburg in northern Hesse, which is now used as an observation tower. Immediately next to the tower is a hikers' rest area with two groups of tables along the Habichtswaldsteig premium hiking trail that passes by. Since 2011, the area, which has been converted into a "fairytale rest area," has also featured a so-called "sky swing," a monumental swing made of five bolted oak trunks, two strands of chain, and a plastic seat. Unfortunately, the small art objects, the bicycle, and the wind organ are no longer there. There's still a table, but it's not as original... What a shame.
