Nice singletrack. Best done when dry. I rode it on this nice day, but with the rain over the last few days, some of the paths were like mini streams!

Attention: this singletrack, which I did today, was cut off in the middle by the landowner. There is a path forming as an escape route (which I had to take). It's best to do it in the north/south direction, as it is downhill. But what a shame that the owner has blocked part of the path. I don't see what bothers him. It's just a path.

Under a canopy of vegetation, a pleasant section to travel in both directions.

Lens limestone was primarily reserved for intricately decorated works, as its composition allows for fine and in-depth work. It was shipped to Arles or Beaucaire before being exported to construction sites all around the Mediterranean. But in Nîmes, it was of course used for all the ornamentation of the arenas, the Maison Carrée, and the Temple of Diana. https://echosdeleinsgardonnenque.fr/en-visite-aux-carrieres-romaines/

A hell of a descent in the gravel (committed descent) and the view is very nice at the top!

Very winding path, nice but watch out for the wide hangers!

Magnificent Roman quarry, difficult to access but worth the effort. We can see the cutting of certain stone blocks as well as elements sculpted on site (pillars) that have not been moved.
